MASTERS INDOOR HOCKEY

Latest update about this exciting event!!

Team entries so far

18 teams have entered across all age groups which will ensure the event will go ahead and that all currently nominated teams will be accepted into the competition. Age groups may be combined to make sure competition is available for all players.

Closing date for team entries has been extended

The organising committee is pleased with the response to date but are still encouraging additional teams to enter the event. The closing date has been extended to provide more opportunities to recruit players and form a team. Closing date for the women’s teams is Monday 29 October 2018 and for the men’s teams is Monday 12 November 2018. The link is - https://form.jotform.co/HockeyAustralia/2018IndoorMastersChallengeTeamEntry

Underage players

In order to be consistent with Masters Hockey – Outdoor, the decision has been made to permit up to two underage players within 2 years per team. Approval must be obtained prior to these players participating in the event. Underage players should be listed and highlighted on the team sheet (Attachment E – Participant Data -2018) which must be submitted by Friday 16 November 2018. This form can be found at - http://www.hockey.org.au/Officiating/Resources

Team umpires and technical officials

Some teams are struggling to find accredited indoor umpires. A decision has been made to remove this requirement for HA accreditation, but umpires need to be competent. It is planned that an accreditation process will be in place at the Challenge.
